Dr. Michael Spertus is a triple board-certified physician in Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine and certified professional coach. While his medical background informs his perspective, his work with One Mind is offered within a coaching relationship—not as psychotherapy or medical care. He partners with clients to prepare for and integrate ketamine experiences in ways that foster meaning, personal growth, and lasting transformation.
Michael views ketamine as more than a medical treatment for symptoms. Through a
psychedelic-informed lens, he helps clients explore the psychological, emotional, relational, and spiritual dimensions of their experiences, while honoring that true healing comes from each person’s own inner wisdom. His role is to provide compassionate guidance as clients translate profound insights into sustainable change.
Michael previously served as Chief Well-Being Officer for a major healthcare system, leading physician well-being and burnout prevention initiatives. This experience, combined with his own journey through persistent pain and personal challenges, has shaped his compassionate, whole-person approach to healing.
Michael is proud to provide an LGBTQ+ affirming, inclusive space where clients feel safe, respected, and supported as they navigate their unique paths toward healing and self-discovery. His relevant training includes formal education in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP) and a certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). He also brings personal experience with ceremonial practice, spiritual medicine, and shamanic traditions, along with extensive training in mindfulness, meditation, clinical hypnosis, guided imagery, yoga, and somatic approaches.

Tell us your story. We’ll map the path forward.
